Chhena Poda / Baked Cottage Cheese Cake

Chhena Poda Literally means Baked Cheese Cake,is a quintessential dessert from the Orrisa made with the homemade Chhena/ Paneer with all the goodness of dairy. So next time if you have a sweet tooth indulge into this protein filled Delicious, quick and healthy dessert in spite of regular cakes.






Ingredients :

Chhena/Paneer made from 1 Liter Full Cream Milk (1 Cup approx)
3 Tablespoon Sooji
1/4 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Tablespoon Ghee
1/2 Tablespoon Cardamom Powder
1/4 Cup Chhena Water
Handful of Cashews and Raisins

Recipe :

1. Preheat the oven at 350 c. Grease the Pan and Keep aside.

1. In a bowl take a freshly made Paneer and start kneading, slowly add Sugar, Sooji and Chenna Water and knead for 10-15 min till you get smooth consistency like cake batter. Add cardamom Powder, Ghee and Baking soda. Mix well.

2.Preheat the oven. Transfer the batter in the Pan and bake for 30-40 min till you get golden crust color. Let it cool in a wire rack for an hour, Delicious Chhena Poda is ready to serve.
